Mark Storey

Mark has been a venture capitalist for more than 30 years. He began his career with BancBoston Capital in 1984 and was subsequently appointed Managing Director of the London office. In 2002, he founded his own firm, Alcuin Capital Partners, which specialises in investing in smaller UK companies.

An Oxford history graduate with an MA from Birkbeck, he has maintained strong academic and cultural interests in the areas of books, history and libraries.  In addition to his role at the University of London, he is also the Treasurer of the London Library where he has been a Trustee since 2008.  Mark is also on the board of the Friends of the National Libraries, the Poetry Book Society and the advisory committee of the History Faculty at Oxford University.  A keen book collector, he is a member of the Grolier Club in New York.
