Mary Quant

Mary Quant created affordable fashion for her contemporaries and opened her first boutique, Bazaar, in London in 1955. From this early success she went on to create a worldwide brand, and expanded from designing clothing to cosmetics and other fashion accessories. Quant was awarded an OBE for her contribution to the fashion industry in 1966 and became a Dame in 2015.  She studied at Goldsmiths, University of London.
