About the scholarship

The Wilfred James Westlake Scholarship was generously donated by his nephew and niece in memory of their late uncle Dr Wilfred James Westlake who was a University of London alumnus and his wife Elisabeth Westlake.

Dr Wilfred Westlake earned his doctorate in mathematics at the University of London and went on to achieve a long and very successful career in the pharmaceutical industry and as a Professor of Statistics.

This generous gift will realise the family’s wishes to both support a deserving student in their pursuit of education and to remember the life of their Uncle and Aunt. The University of London is sincerely grateful to the family for their generous support.
