This module examines emerging markets’ commercial realities and national cultures within the context of a global economy.

Part one will examine emerging markets and their characteristics and explore business systems within the context of a global economy. It evaluates the BRIC economies (Brazil, Russia, India, and China), and other nations in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern European. This also provides you with analytical skills to discuss or conduct business in these growing economies.

In part two key issues such as government, corporate governance, business groups and networks, finance, employment, technological development, and foreign multinational investment are considered. It also focuses on the rise of Asia Pacific multinationals in world markets, and on the reasons behind their noted success.
