Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies is the only programme of its type to be offered by distance learning. It has become one of the largest programmes on forced migration anywhere in the world. It is a fascinating and complex subject area that generates interesting humanitarian, legal, political, philosophical and sociological questions.

The cutting-edge content of the MA Human Rights looks at human rights issues from a practical perspective as well as a theoretical and legal one. We offer a wide range of elective modules. The topics address emerging issues in human rights, such as the impact of environmental destruction on human rights; human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals; or cultural genocide.
