FM Review Update August 2020

Security staff continue to onboard into the University post May 2020. Our Security colleagues continue to provide an important service preparing, securing and facilitating staff visits post COVID-19 lockdown. 

Salisbury Group continue with contract mobilisation, validation of asset registers and preparation of buildings post COVID-19. 

First phase work is in progress for the insourcing of the cleaning service into the University. Further due diligence is currently being undertaken within the wider FM team and with our HR colleagues to ensure the University is ready for the commencement of directly providing services in line with the stated date of 1 November 2020.

A Cleaning Procurement strategy has been developed and the list of ancillary supplier requirements has been confirmed i.e. Pest Control, Window Cleaning, Feminine Hygiene, Laundry Services and Waste transfer/Management. These services are now being procured in readiness for a live date of 1st November 2020.

Future phases of the Estates and Facilities Management Services strategy continue to be further planned and executed in line with the agreed program with completion planned for the end of 2020.  In addition to this, work has commenced on the development of a new overarching Estates and FM strategy which will align with and support the emerging University strategy.
