What is the role of critical theory today and who is it for? What kind of maps can theory provide in the context of entrenched capitalist crisis? These are some of the questions posed by this Theory in Crisis seminar series. Verónica Gago will open the 2021-22 series with an online talk titled 'Feminist International: Political Alliances and Challenges'.
Contrary to the idea of a suspension that seemed to be established in the pandemic, real estate and financial capital never took a break.
That is why it is important to continue expanding our imagination of what it means to strike from a feminist praxis: how can we remove ourselves from the constant extraction of financial and real estate rents? How do we stop them, and confront them? What type of political alliances does this require?
Verónica Gago would like to share some problematic points in order to think about entanglements and programmatic challenges.
