Study resources and facilities
You will benefit from access to a wide range of study resources and facilities, including several libraries, electronic information services, and computing facilities. The ULIP Library is the primary source of support and research material for students and staff, offering subject-specific resources and access to dozens of electronic databases. It also offers a comfortable, welcoming and secure space for study, research, work and interaction. Our Head of Library is on-hand to introduce you to the facilities and services available, and to point you in the right direction towards any off-site provision.
Students can access general IT facilities throughout the building:
- PC workstations
- laptop plug-in points
- wireless access
- colour printing and photocopying
As a student at the University of London Institute in Paris you will receive your own University email address for the duration of your studies. This should be checked regularly as it is the address that official University information, including academic and social life is communicated. Combined with this, you receive a personal network account, through which you can access resources, as well as store and manage your electronic documents.
We provide open free Wi-fi to our ULIP student and staff, allowing you to have remote access to high-speed internet in all the areas of the building. We also provide an Eduroam service.
IT support is provided through:
- helplines for staff and students
- online guides to enable users to get the most from their computing facilities
- training in IT skills for students
- online tutorials for staff
Virtual Learning Environment
You will benefit from access to ULIP’s Virtual Learning Environment, an innovative study support and course management resource.
The Student, Academic and External Office as well as the Head of Library are here to support you and help resolve any queries you may have.
