Open days and events

Meet us - either in Paris, UK or online - and discover what it is like to study and live in the heart of Paris by attending one of our taster courses, open days, or Q&As.

Undergraduate events

We hold several online and in-person events throughout the year. From taster courses, to online Q&As and UCAS Exhibitions, you will have the opportunity to meet our staff and students so you can have a feel for what it’s like to study at the University of London Institute in Paris.

Online events

Whether you’ve already applied to ULIP or not, you can join us for any of our online open days, taster courses and Q&As. Both ULIP academic and administrative staff, as well as students, are online to answer any questions you may have. Our online events usually start with a 30-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute online Q&A via chat. You will need to register ahead of time to access our platform and receive reminders to make sure you don’t miss the chance to meet us.

In-person events

If you prefer to meet us in person, we usually attend the UCAS Exhibitions in Manchester and London (usually held in March), as well as hold a taster course in London at Senate House in June. There as well, you will have the chance to meet our academic staff and student ambassadors and ask any questions you may have about our BA in French Studies and/or International Politics programmes, or simply what it is like to study and live in Paris. Considering the current situation, we may not be able to do these events in person. If that’s the case, we’ll make sure to organise online events instead.

Journée de Rencontres/Applicant Open Day

If you have applied to ULIP through UCAS, don’t miss the chance to attend our Journée de Rencontres which usually takes place in March in Paris at our premises. It is a great way to meet current students and find out more about our degree programmes by attending our lecturers’ programme presentations and more. Parents or other guests are also welcome to attend the event.

Simply check our section below to view any of our upcoming undergraduate events. You can also browse our past events to access some of our recordings that may be of interest to you.

We hope to have the pleasure to meet you at one of our events, but if you are unable to attend any of these please feel free to contact us and we will be delighted to answer any of your questions. Same goes if you are visiting Paris and would like to explore ULIP, we will be happy to organise a personalised tour if the situation allows.

Postgraduate events

MA in Urban History and Culture

We usually hold an online open day in February, where you will have the chance to hear first-hand from the MA in Urban History and Culture programme convenor, Professor Anna-Louise Milne, as well as interact via chat with our student ambassador and staff. We also hold some online taster courses. As well as Urban History and Culture taster courses, prospective students might be interested in some research seminars and panel discussions from the list of events below.
