Mark Stringer MSc, AFHEA, MABP, Chartered MCIPD

Mark is a lecturer in the Department of Organizational Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London.  

Having worked in various organisations across all sectors in leadership roles spanning nearly 35 years, Mark has a wide range of life and work experiences to draw on - some of them terrifying and some of them... less terrifying.

For his PhD research, Mark is investigating a possible dark side to employee engagement, using a Lacanian Psychoanalytic framework to interpret the discourses that surround it in organisational life. He is Co-Director of the OPHRM International Programme and lectures, tutors and supervises students across a wide selection of the modules within the MSc in Organizational Psychology and Human Resource Management, International HRM within Management and undergraduate modules across the Business, Economics and Informatics School at Birkbeck, University of London.

He is a member of the Association of Business Psychologists, an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Member of the CIPD.
