Graduation visit to Russell Square in Mumbai

Graduates at Russell Square International College in Mumbai were delighted to meet Dr Mary Stiasny OBE, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International), University of London.

Dr Stiasny OBE attended the graduation ceremony on Sunday 3 September in the Mumbai, known as the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India.

At the ceremony, held for 34 graduates of the University of London, Dr Stiasny OBE said that their academic award is highly relevant and valued in a range of occupations and professions. She cited examples of Russell Square International College students who have gone on to placements with some of the top firms in the world, and to name a few, these include Deloitte, KPMG, India Bulls and Imperial Capital.

On graduating, Dr Stiasny OBE congratulated the graduates and their families, and said:

‘Your graduation does not mark the end of your journey with the University of London. All of you will continue down the road as Alumni of the University, some amongst you may even join us once more for further study.’

In her welcome address, the Principal of Russell Square International College, Dr Kshitij Prabha expressed her hearty gratitude to Dr Stiasny OBE, and to Mr Chris Jenney, Head of Global Institutions, University of London, for gracing the occasion. The Member of Russell square International College Board, Mr Rajeev Goenka felicitated Dr Stiasny OBE before she addressed the Graduates of 2017 and presented the Certificates and Scrolls.
