Sustainability Advocate participants

If you’d like to become a Sustainability Advocate by attending our webinars and taking part in online challenges and discussions, then we need to collect information like your name, host institution and email address and / or social media username.

This will allow us to track the number of webinars and challenges you’ve participated in, so that you can be eligible for our Sustainability Advocate Award. It will also allow us to contact you about prizes if you’re taking part in our challenges and competitions.

You can opt out at any time, and the data we have collected about you and your participation in the project will be permanently deleted.

Where you decide to sign up to our mailing list we will ask you to provide your ‘opt in’ consent via a tick box. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Statistical reporting on the event

Our mailing list is managed using the Mailchimp platform. Mailchimp acts as a data processor for the university but does carry out its own reporting and analysis. You can view the Mailchimp privacy policy here.

Do we share it with other institutions? - If you decide to opt-in when you register, we will share names and email addresses with your college so that they can keep track of how many of their students have been involved. They may add these names to their sustainability mailing lists to update your on their projects.

Do we use any other third parties? - No, never.

Do we post any photos/interviews on social media? - Only with stated permission from the people in the photos. Usually this consent is given verbally rather than by a written consent form.
