Summer Memberships: available to purchase from 31 May 2021
Take advantage of our Summer Membership offer which runs from June 1st to August 31st, for £30.00. With our beautiful marble grade II listed building in the centre of London you can stay cool while studying this Summer while opening up a world of knowledge from the medieval period to present day and from the UK to far parts of the globe.
You can access Senate House Library's collection of over 2 million books & 1,200 archive collections, one of the UK's largest libraries for arts, humanities & social sciences.
Please note, due to coronavirus safety considerations (space usage and social distancing within the Library), it is necessary to book a 3 hour study slot, online, in advance (before coming into the Library).
Discover our special collections, exploring thousands of the greatest published works such as the Terry Pratchett & H.G. Wells collections to hundreds of works by or relating to Sir Francis Bacon and William Shakespeare. And it doesn't stop there...we have the Heisler collection of 50,000 19th and 20th century books, pamphlets and periodicals published by or relating to radical political movements such as women's rights and labour movements. All this alongside our huge research collections on:
