Keeping Study Spaces Safe

The Government recently announced the easing of restrictions in England from Monday 19 July 2021. Due to the nature of the Library spaces, Senate House Library will keep Covid-19 rules in place beyond Monday 19 July until further notice, in order to keep members and study spaces as safe as possible during the pandemic.

We're proud to have been able to keep essential Library services running throughout the pandemic and the success of this is due to maintaining Covid-19 rules and systems. We appreciate Library members support in continuing to follow these rules beyond Monday 19 July to ensure a safe study environment for all while the pandemic continues.

The study space advance booking system will be kept in place to manage numbers onsite and we ask members to continue to:

Stay alert: check @SenateHouseLib & the website for the latest updates before travel
Always maintain social distancing when seated & moving around the building
Face coverings to be worn when moving around Library spaces unless exempt
Everyday kindness: collaborate with staff to calmly respond to changes that ensure your safety.

For Library opening hours please go to Visiting the Library and for further advice on accessing the Senate House building and wider University of London estate, please visit University of London coronavirus advice and FAQs.
