Goldsmiths Careers Service

For over 200 years Goldsmiths, University of London has been transforming the lives of students through education, research and the support of their close-knit community. Courses span the arts, humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, computing, business and management, and most recently Law with the first cohort joining in September 2019.

Goldsmiths Careers Service exists to produce confident, articulate students with the skills, knowledge and experience to plan their career, overcome career setbacks and succeed in the graduate job market.

The team delivers the following services:

  • Careers Information and Consultancy (careers advice and guidance, job search support, consultancy with academic depts. on embedding employability in the curriculum and new programme development)
  • Work Placements & Internships (sourcing quality opportunities tailored to student need for the accredited work placement module and graduate level paid internships)
  • Employer Engagement (working with employers to identify relevant graduate roles and promote these to students, engage employers in attendance at a range of on campus events, networking activities and mentoring)
  • Student Enterprise and Skills (supporting students to access employability opportunities across campus (inv volunteering), record them (via the HEAR) and reflect on them (via the Gold Award), and assist students interested in freelance careers or in setting up a business
  • Information & Data Team (researching and providing careers information on relevant job sectors, collating, analysing and reporting on quantitative data and qualitative evaluation feedback on service provision, learning gain and graduate outcomes)
